AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Fashion week is slowly coming to a close. Just two more days left!
I am going to need serious inspiration as to where to take this blog soon!!! Nah, just kidding I have a few ideas up my sleeves, it's just the fact of if I can execute the ideas properly.
Anyways... I feel like I didn't give Adele a proper photo for her red carpet look, tonight I am and then some. On my personal facebook (I don't have my public figure one launched quite yet) I received a quite humorous comment, "In the best dressed, the third lady in the sparkling black dress looks like a shiny witch. As for the worse dressed, it looks like the before-mentioned witch had cast a "stupid" spell on those two." I have to admit the photo I choose wasn't the best one. So here is another photo of her, as well as a shot of her in the new Vogue. (She looks exquisite!)
Badgley Mischka
This collection involved anything from fur to rhinestones. This collection was quite elegant down to every last detail. Well except the models hair. Huge eye sore was the models hair. They styled messy afros. The look was ok for getting attention, however if you were to style your hair like this in real life, people would think your hair has some creatures larking around. What I saw a lot of in this collection was outrageous fur trims i.e. scarfs, and vests. Color pallet was dull colors, caramels, blacks, deep brown reds, and grays. One thing I loved was the metallics and rhinestone details in this collection. I am not a fun of the styles in this collection, but I do love the embellishments, and the fabrics used.
Vera Wang
Holy Goodness. Does Vera look 62 to you? Well she is and boy, I hope I look like her when I am that age. I normally love Vera's collections, but this time it was a miss for me. She had a great color pallet, and her textures with her fabrics were great, however nothing really caught my eye. This collection had flowy materials, fur trims, and the color blocking trend. Models hair was a normal everyday bun, and makeup looked fresh faced. My most favorite item was this clear rhinestone dress thing... IDK what to even call it....

Dennis Basso
I caught the ending of this show. His work was breathtaking. However, it was very dangerous. Why? His apple of his collection likes to trip his subject, not once but twice. The poor model had two nasty falls with this dress. So it make me wonder, is it worth getting the dress, or the heals? haha. In any case, the dress was still beautiful, it made the model glide down the isle. (Until the nasty falls of course.)
Narciso Rodriguez
I wasn't going to write about this collection because there wasn't any photos online. But I did find a few so here we go. Color pallets had a lot of orange, and dull lime green. He had an... lets say interesting collection. Wasn't my favorite at all. The boots where mid calf, and very tight. I would prefer if they were taller. Some of the boots had the color blocking trend with black and white. My favorite piece of his collection hands down was the pencil skirts with long flowy backs! OMG I WANT ONE NOW!

Absolutely LOVE Dennis Basso orange dress!
ReplyDeleteI hate halloween so Narciso Rodriguez, sorry, but you did not make it in my book! ...awful...for sure with colors at least
Omg, I wish YouTube covered more collections that included evening gowns.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you this dress was amazing. A designer to check out is Marchesa. Some of those were to die for.
HAHAHAHAHA!
Good point! I didn't connect the color pallet to Halloween. Your absolutely right. How wants to dress up like a pumpkin?
