Fashion Week Day 2

Battle of Battle of the Rebecca's to start off the day.
Welcome to day 2 of fashion week.
Lots to report today, no time to waste!

Let's begin with Rebecca Taylor.
I must say her collection had a little bit of everything from wool coats to edgy leather moto ones. Major accessory flaunted in her collection was fur heals.  Simular to BCBG Max Azria’s collection, we saw the sexy slit cut dress. Details in the collection included, sequins lining on the side of the pants leg, zippers lining on the bottom front of pants leg, fur trim scarves, and slight lace detailing. This collection channels the inner animal. Color pallet consisted of dark colors such as; blank, navy, and grays. Models hair was a messy braid towards the end of the hair. Makeup was clean and chic.

Next we have Rebecca Minkoff.
Hands down, Minkoff won the battle of the Rebecca’s today.  Yes, this show was fashionably late. However, it started off with a BANG! At her showing, there was a live performance. There was so much energy in the room, you could see it in the models catwalks! Soo Fierce! I must say I died with I saw this collection. Green metallic on the first outfit, this was the best day of my life. Now only that, it kept on getting better.  Next outfit sported a moto jacket that was green metallic and sequin rainbow pants. Yes sounds weird but how can you not like sequin rainbow pants?! Textures consisted with chiffon, leather, and shimmery metallic. Prints went anywhere from snake to plaid. Pops of color everywhere. Blue Bottom heals are in, as well as low cut v-neck backs. Models sported messy buns and pink eye shadows.

Strutting down the runway came Nicole Miller’s line.

This collection definitely explored the 70’s retro style. Bold rainbow floral prints, ruffles, fur trimmed coats, leather, and floppy hats ruled the runway. Again we saw hints of leopard, chiffon, and fringe. Lots and lots of fringe. There was also a minor hint of the military style. Shirts had a boho chic feel, as well as the shark bit cut was present. Models had sleek straight hair, and makeup was heavier in the eyes. Definite trend in shoes are platform heals as well as wedge heals.

Last down the isle was Charlotte Ronson’s collection.

I must say this one put me to sleep. Here we saw a lot of Aztec prints, and leather pencil skirts. There were a lot of stripes and colored tights.  Main accessory in this collection was long leather gloves. Embellishments consisted zippers. Models exhibited bold lips as well as ponytail sleek hair.
