Ok. So.... I am feeling so much better today.
I think I am going to reedit (am I the only one who thinks that does not look like re-edit) yesterdays blog. I was having a lot of trouble with it. Everything from my computer freezing and crashing, down to the photograph layout not working right. I should have worked harder to get it on the nail, but I quit. I thought to myself who reads this stupid blog anyway? Well, now I know more than one person does (not including me of course). Then I thought to myself, wow! Why did I want to easily want to give up? Sometimes it takes instances like these to ground you. You feel like no one cares, but really they do! It may just take a simple comment like "very nice" to give you a huge confidence boost. Today was so much better than yesterday. I know now, that I have to be more patient. My dear friend said some reassuring words to me on facebook "Keep it going though, even if its discouraging right now....it'll be worth the wait once you get it going big time!" :) I just want to Thank You both for the confidence boost. (You know who you both are.)
Now fashion time.
Today has been crazy, I only watched 1 out of 5 showings. I slept through the first two, and I obviously didn't have great timing on the reruns on YouTube. I miss the rest because I had to babysit. BUT... The one that I did see was worth it.
If I can find some pictures of the rest of the shows YouTube covered today I will put them up. I can't really give my descriptions on the entire collections because I didn't see them.
Also last night was the Grammys.

I didn't get to watch the whole entire thing, because I was watching My Fair Wedding with David Tutera. What did everyone think of the performances? Now I will most likely have some haters for saying this, but my thoughts on Jennifer Hudson's performance in honor of Whitney Houston was not quite there. There were some key spots were she was off key, just wasn't her best. Was it just me, or did anyone think that Katy Perry's song was definitely hinting at a certain someone??
I can't wait until next weeks Pretty Little Liars!!!!

Best Dressed Overall...
I think that these looks were completely perfect for this event. Giuliana looked fantastic in her black dress. She sported a very trending accessory, a gold metal belt. Very chic! Her overall look was an A+
OMG, next favorite of mine Taylor Swift. Simply gorgeous!! Beautiful train as well as a high neck and cute tiny sleeves. Amazing. As for Adele, what a stunner. She picked an amazing black sparkly dress. Completely showed off her amazing curves. A+

I completely love these dresses. I am not all of a fun of the random extra thing hanging from Kate's dress. Then what the heck is up with the guns on Sasha's dress... I mean seriously, if you want guns work out.

I love colored hair.. but in this case... it wasn't the wisest thing to match your dress color. :/

RiRi you could have looked more classier if your cleavage was a little more covered. You have a great body BUT I think there was too much skin showed, and the hair looked trashy.
Adam's Victoria Secret Model Girl should have just went in her bathing suit. YUCK YUCK YUCK. Maybe next time she should put on a pair of wings, maybe she would look more classy. idk

OMG. Her line is a work of art. The models hair couldn't be anymore stunning. I love the shapes of her clothing. Not a fan of some of the patterns and colors, but I still love her collection!

ReplyDeleteto you grammy performance comments. I kind of agree about Hudson, while it was a great tribute, people I thought hyped up her performance more than it was. Also I was thinking the same thing about Katy Perry's performance...cough *divorce* cough
AND lets not forget everythones favorite Nicki Manag's or whatever her name is...I can't believe they let that performance happen. It was disgusting and stupid and everything bad in music put together.
OKAY to my favorite part...some of the dresses I absolutely loved were Katy Perry's (not her hair though either!)...the color obviously intrigued me first hand, but I loved the curvy hugging the hips look to it. I loved the cut of it too uptop.It was pretty and elegant. LOVE LACE! But can we just talk about how much prettier and classy she would have looked with her beautiful brunette hair in big flowy curls...ugh, come on katy!
Taylor Swift was classy as always...plus in comment to her performance, while it wasn't the greatest vocals (although im a fan) ...she was adorable at the end when she was surprised about her standing ovation. haha
Adele....she can stand alone and be graceful and beautiful in any situation and any outfit im sure...shes so classy and elegant. I could have done without her gum chewing throughout the night, seen on cam though. That was a bit odd haha
Paris Hilton looks very classy...im loving the high neck cuts of most of these dresses...those other two in the black dresses could learn and thing or two from her!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE these styles by Carolina Herrera. GORGEOUS and so elegant! I could see you wearing all of those missy!
in my opinion the other collections you show on here don't compare to hers so ill stick to that! :)

Nicki Minaj's performance was down right disgusting. I give it up to rappers because its actually a hard thing to do. BUT this performance.... yuck yuck and more yuck. I don't like the fact that she arrived with an actor dressed up as the pope/bishop. (I heard two different storys on what the actor was dressed up as) Why use religion as controversy? I guarantee you if she used Muslim believes she would be in serious big trouble. I think that ANY religion shouldn't be a tool like that to turn heads. It should remain scared.
Your right about Katy's dress. It was exquisite, but what killed her moment was her hairstyle choice. As for Taylor, I didn't catch the full performance thats good to know!

Awww Thanks! My dream is to wear one of those and just twirl around in a castle. I think I speak for the both of us... and the rest of the world. lol
I'll give my option for the other collections. ( I try not to give my insight writing the blog entries, because I am trying to be fair for all designers.)
Betsey J. Her collection was a big ball of energy. I don't think I would be wearing any of it this season, because it wasn't my thing.
Bibhu black and white dress shown above, that didn't photograph well at all. Plus I would prefer that in another color. I still love Carlos belts!! But your right, these collections come no where near as elegant as Carolina.
